By using the Police Roadcraft System of Car Control this course teaches delegates to be in the correct road position and gear at an appropriate speed for the prevailing conditions.
The course also teaches fuel efficient driving practice. One or two delegates per instructor for a half or whole day session, starting with an eyesight and licence check followed by a driving risk assessment and coaching. A demonstration drive will be provided if required.

Advanced Driving
Again, using the Police Roadcraft System of Car Control, this course teaches delegates to be in the correct road position and gear at an appropriate speed for the prevailing conditions. Delegates attending this course will be coached towards attainment of the Institute of Motorists Advanced Driving Test.
Starting with a two hour classroom session, delegates discuss driving techniques whilst using the System of Car Control. A range of driving subjects are covered including vehicle dynamics, observation, braking, steering, use of gear box, positioning for safety and maintaining progress. Licence and eyesight tests will be conducted and a demonstration drive will be provided followed by a driver risk assessment and a number of coaching sessions.
One to three delegates per instructor for two to four days. Post course feedback will be given to the delegate and a written report produced for your records.
Adverse Weather Condition Driving (Skid Training)
Although many people think skids only occur in winter, this is not correct. Skids can occur on any surface where the tyre loses grip with the road surface due to a combination of circumstances including available grip combined with vehicle speed and cornering forces.
Using Drive 4 Quality’s Skid Training vehicles, delegates will be taught firstly to recognise a skid and then recovery methods from both understeer and oversteer loss of control situations. The course is designed to help delegates avoid getting into a skid situation in the first place, but if they do skid the course also gives them the knowledge to recover control of the vehicle.
One to three delegates per instructor per session. Sessions last from one hour too four hours depending on number of delegates.
An Attendance Certificate is available for this course if required.
